Pest Poison

Pest Poison is a quest item in Skyrim’s Dampened Spirits, handed over by Sabjorn to poison a skeever nest at Honningbrew Meadery.

Pest Poison is not a combat poison you can coat a blade with. It is a quest item tied to Honningbrew Meadery, where Sabjorn hands it to the Dragonborn to deal with a skeever problem, but the bottle ends up being used for more than simple pest control.

Effects

The bottle has no effect you can drink or apply in combat. It exists only to be used at specific points in the quest. It is listed as both a quest item and a miscellaneous item, weighs 0.5 and has a value of 0, so you cannot sell it. Its form ID is 0002baab.

Where to find it

You receive Pest Poison from Sabjorn inside Honningbrew Meadery during the quest Dampened Spirits. It cannot be found anywhere else.

Role in Dampened Spirits

The poison has two uses during the quest:

  • Pouring it on the skeever nest, which is the job Sabjorn officially asks you to do.
  • Adding it to the mead inside a brewing vat.

Good to know

Pest Poison has no alchemy effect, so there is no way to brew it at an alchemy lab, and it has nothing in common with the leveled poisons you apply to weapons.

Where to find it

  • Given by Sabjorn inside Honningbrew Meadery during the quest Dampened Spirits.
