Salma is a Redguard adventurer waiting outside Ironbind Barrow with her longtime protector, the Argonian sorcerer Beem-Ja. She talks a big game about treasure but hasn’t quite worked up the nerve to go in, until you announce you’re heading inside.
Where to find them
She stands by the barrow entrance arguing with Beem-Ja. Once you go in, she tags along through the tomb and keeps up a running commentary about how rich this place is going to make everybody.
Quests
Salma is the one who pulls you into Coming of Age. Ask what she expects to find and she rattles off gold, silver and maybe gems. Tell her you’re going in and she insists the two of them are coming along. The goal is the tomb of Warlord Gathrik, but Beem-Ja has his own reasons for being there.
Once his betrayal plays out and Beem-Ja is dead, Salma is left shaken. She admits her father never trusted him and that she always thought he was just being overprotective. She tells you she plans to rest and then return to High Rock, and that she needs some time alone.
Personality & relationships
Salma is impatient, cheerful and very keen on adventure. The twist is that she never needed the treasure at all: her father owns land and the family is wealthy. She simply wanted excitement, and got a lot more than she bargained for. Beem-Ja had watched over her since she was knee-high, which is exactly why his turn hurts so much.
Good to know
If Salma wanders between you and Beem-Ja while he’s casting Sparks, she may get hit and turn on him. She goes back to mourning him once the fight is over.
