The Poacher’s Axe is a woodcutter’s axe with a grudge against wildlife – and, unusually for a unique weapon, an enchantment you can learn.
How to get it
An Orc bandit near the bandit chief at Halted Stream Camp wields it, usually by the grindstone inside the mine. Missed it? It respawns when the location resets.
Enchantment
Huntsman’s Prowess: extra damage to animals (3 points on this axe). It can be disenchanted to learn the effect – a handy source of Huntsman’s Prowess early on.
Stats
5 damage, 10 weight. It swings as fast as a dagger (speed 1.3), and unlike a regular woodcutter’s axe it benefits from One-Handed perks.
Smithing
Steel Ingot with Arcane Blacksmith, but no Smithing perk helps.
