The Notched Pickaxe is a little secret at the very top of the world: a pickaxe stuck in the rock on the summit of the Throat of the World, with a Smithing bonus and a spark of shock damage.
How to get it
The intended route is via the main quest The Throat of the World. Next to the Time-Wound, opposite the word wall, is a slope you can climb to reach the summit. The pickaxe is embedded in the rock just below the peak. Patient players can also reach it by climbing the mountain on horseback or by jumping.
Effects
- +5 Smithing while equipped (it doesn’t break the 100 cap in the base game).
- 5 points of shock damage per hit when used as a weapon.
Stats
5 damage, 10 weight. Improved with an 
Iron Ingot.
