Meet Mallus Maccius at the Bannered Mare and get a job with Sabjorn, Honningbrew’s owner. Sabjorn wants you to clear a skeever nest in the basement – use the poison he gives you there, but save some to slip into the brew vat. At the tasting ceremony, the Whiterun guard captain tastes the poisoned mead and Sabjorn is arrested. Search his office to find out who his silent partner was, then report to Maven and Brynjolf.
