The Elder Scrolls Online got its next big update on September 28, 2026. Update 51 is one of the more experimental patches in the MMO’s long life, with a couple of features that try something genuinely different.
The Nowhere Vault
A new puzzle-focused delve built from random rooms and treasures – so no two runs should feel quite the same.
Rumors
Rumors are a new kind of quest with far less on-screen guidance than usual. Instead of following a quest marker, you follow clues and piece together stories yourself. Old-school Morrowind players may feel right at home.
High Seas of Tamriel
The update was followed by the High Seas of Tamriel event, starting on September 30, with pirate-themed action both above and below the waves.
Everything else
- Achievement pinning, so you can track the ones you’re chasing.
- Tweaks to the Antiquities system and to Alchemy.
- Class and hybridization changes.
- A customizable HUD in beta for PC players.
- The return of three-sided battlegrounds.
- New houses and furnishings.
Full patch notes are available on the official Elder Scrolls Online website.
