Angi is a Nord archer living on her own at Angi’s Camp, a lonely little homestead in the forest south of Falkreath. She grew up in Helgen, and her first words to you are a polite promise to shoot you if you try anything funny. Get past that, and she turns out to be one of the best free archery coaches in Skyrim.
Where to find them
Angi stays at her camp, either inside her small shack or out by the row of practice targets she set up years ago so she wouldn’t get rusty. She doesn’t wander, so once you know the way she is always home.
Quests
Composure, Speed, and Precision – ask about the targets, tell her you can shoot, and she’ll run you through a series of practice rounds. The first round rewards each target you hit, and finishing rounds two, three and four gives you another Archery increase each. If you don’t own a bow, she points you to one on the rack by the door. When the whole course is done she hands over her family’s bow, Angi’s Bow – a slightly better, unenchanted take on the Hunting Bow.
Services
No shop and no paid training, just the free lessons. Counting the skill book The Gold Ribbon of Merit lying in her shack, the camp is worth seven Archery increases in total, which makes it a great early stop for any bow user.
Personality & relationships
Angi is prickly, proud and allergic to pity. She left Helgen after two drunken Imperials killed her family; she settled that score herself and then went into the woods because she couldn’t stand everyone feeling sorry for her. Offer sympathy and she’ll tell you not to bother. Between practice rounds she opens up a little about her mother, who taught her that staying calm is what makes an arrow land, and about her older brother, whose hunting trips taught her to shoot fast when food was scarce and a herd of deer was in front of them.
Good to know
- She is scripted to always hit her targets, even when the arrow visibly misses.
- If you kill her, you won’t find her bow on her body – the lessons are the only way to get it.
