Deekus is an Argonian loner who has claimed a small campsite next to the shipwreck at Hela’s Folly. The game files call him an assassin, but everything about his camp says scavenger and treasure hunter, and he is very, very protective of his find.
Where to find them
He usually sits in a chair at his camp, in front of a crate holding a coin purse, a single gold coin and a tankard. Gems and valuables lie scattered around, a Dibella statue stands on one side of his bedroll, and a chest guarded by a bear trap sits on the other. Watch your feet.
Quests
Deekus is the target of Contract: Kill Deekus for the Dark Brotherhood. Talk to him and he swings from “this is my wreck” bravado to begging for mercy. Threaten him and he dares you to catch him first, then makes a run for it.
Personality & relationships
Deekus is territorial and a bit paranoid: as far as he’s concerned, whatever is on that ship belongs to him. He has no friends or family mentioned anywhere, which fits a man who lives alone on a freezing beach next to a wreck.
Good to know
The valuables around his camp respawn now and then, especially once Deekus himself is gone, which makes it a handy spot for a little income. Stealing while he’s alive may get hired thugs sent after you, and they can even show up after his death carrying a letter signed by him. Sometimes, if he catches you in the act, he simply takes the item back instead of attacking.
