Gilfre is an Imperial lumberjack who owns and runs Mixwater Mill. She used to have a team of workers, but they all left to fight in the civil war, and now she is struggling to keep the mill running by herself.
Where to find them
At Mixwater Mill, where she works and lives.
Services
- Chop Wood – she will buy any firewood you bring her.
- Sawn logs (Hearthfire) – Gilfre sells sawn logs, 20 for 200 gold, which you need to build your homestead. Once she likes you enough, she lets you cut her logs at the sawmill for free.
Follower & marriage
Sell her some firewood and she becomes a marriage candidate. Wear an Amulet of Mara and talk to her.
Personality & relationships
Gilfre is fed up. She had five good men working with her until they ran off to war, which she blames on mead in their blood. She also points out the irony: everyone is busy fighting, yet without working mills nobody can make arrows for the soldiers. Over in Kynesgrove, the Uriel sisters have their eye on a forest near her mill, but don’t want to anger her by taking her trees.
Good to know
Marrying her can be buggy: she may vanish after the ceremony in Riften, and if you choose to live at Mixwater Mill she may still order you out of the house.
