The Gold Ribbon of Merit

An Archery skill book: two old friends, a hunting trip and an unlucky shot.

The Gold Ribbon of Merit by Ampyrian Brum follows two childhood friends in High Rock – a war-scarred soldier and a vain academy graduate proud of his gold ribbon for archery – who go hunting in their old woods. The story ends with a pointed bit of irony about who the real marksman is.

Skill book

The Gold Ribbon of Merit is a Archery skill book. The first time you read a copy, your Archery skill goes up by one point – later copies of the same title don’t give anything extra, so there is no need to carry them around.
