Marcurio is an Imperial mage and sellsword who waits for work at the Bee and Barb in Riften. He is feisty, sarcastic and full of opinions – “Try not to walk into any spike-filled pits or filthy skeever dens” is a typical piece of advice. He is also fascinated by the Dwemer, although he would like them more if their machines stopped trying to kill him.
How to recruit Marcurio
Pay him the standard mercenary fee of 500 gold.
As a follower
Marcurio is a destruction mage with Restoration and Alteration as backup, levelling with you up to level 40. He keeps his own robes on but will wear armor you give him. Like most followers, he carries a hunting bow for when his magicka runs low.
Marriage and more
- Marriage: yes, once you have hired him.
- Steward: can look after a Hearthfire homestead.
- Blades: can be recruited into the Blades.
Good to know
As a mercenary, Marcurio has no problem with you bending the law while he is around.
